SIZING GUIDE
HAORI / courts
Short kimonos are called “Haori”. They look like kimonos but are actually jackets, originally meant to be worn on top of the kimono. They are not cut off kimonos as their original design is short.
They can be worn as jackets, tops or even as a house lounge jacket…
KIMONO / longs
Kimonos (or Yukatas for the light summery kimonos) are long garments originally meant to be folded around the waist under a large belt called “Obi”. This is why they come very long and sometimes even touch the floor when worn. We invite you to carefully read the product description when you buy a long kimono and to consider belting or altering the length if you would like it shorter.
They are ideally worn inside as dressing gowns, as a coat outdoors or even as an evening dress when belted. They also look stunning on the beach when worn on top of a swimming costume or as a light summery outfit.
