OUR STORY
Yukimono was started in 2021 by Hisashi & Joséphine Furukawa. After they welcomed a baby into their life, they felt they didn’t have enough time to dedicate to Yukimono and looked into passing it on to another vintage kimono lover.
That is when I came in. I had met Joséphine under completely different circumstances and when I heard about her plans to close Yukimono, I reached out to her.
I share with both of them a similar passion: the beauty of Japanese culture and the desire to preserve it with a modern touch.
That is why I am very delighted to allow YUKIMONO.cie story to live on.
